چکیده
Assessing the impact of planting methods and irrigation levels is needed to determine effects on maize root morphological traits, grain yield, water productivity in semi-arid regions. A study was initiated (Zea mays L.) from 2015 2016, including three [i.e. broad bed furrow (BBF), shallow narrow (SNF) deep wider (DWF)] four once ten days (I10D), at 40% depletion available soil moisture (DASM, I40), 50% DASM (I50) 60% (I60)] arranged a split-plot design with replications. Results reveal that DWF method has increased length, volume, surface area dry weight compared SNF BBF (p < 0.05). resulted higher yield than BBF, although non-significant but 22.40% application. Irrigation I50 had significant effect area, regardless methods. Therefore, where been costly limited farm input, practice deficit could be viable option for greater saving yields maize.

The Effect of Different Amounts of Irrigation and Planting Methods on Water Use Efficiency, Grain Yield and Some Physiological and Biochemical Traits of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
This research was conducted at the research field of West-Azerbaijan (Saatloo station, 45° 10′ 53˝ E/ 37° 44′ 18˝ N and 1338 m above sea level), located 25 km from Urmia city (Iran) during 2019-2020 cropping seasons, as a factorial layout based on randomized complete block design with three replications. The first factor was irrigation regime at three levels (supplying 100, 75 and 50% of net ir...
متن کاملThe effect of planting methods on maize growth and yield at different irrigation regimes
ABSTRACT- Maize production, which is ranked after wheat and barely in Fars province, Iran, needs a considerable amount of irrigation water that is not available in scarce water conditions in drought situations. Therefore, proper planting method can improve irrigation water management. The objectives of the present study were to investigate the effects of two planting methods, on-bed and in furr...

In the present study, the effects of different levels of irrigation, organic mulch and planting method on the mungbean yield in Badjgah were investigated. The experimental plan in the first year was full randomized block, while in the second year, it was full randomized split-split plot block design, in three repetitions. The results showed that in the FI treatments, the yield was increased up ...
